What is Internet Filter?
Internet Filter is a security service that helps protect your company's users from known malicious websites and online threats. Built into Telia's mobile network, it blocks harmful websites before users can access them.
Internet Filter is enabled by default and requires no installation, app or configuration. Protection is automatically applied whenever users browse on Telia's mobile network, both in Sweden and abroad.
What Internet Filter protects against
Internet Filter provides basic protection against websites used for:
Phishing and fraud attempts
Distribution of viruses and malware
Theft of passwords and other sensitive information
Other malicious or fraudulent online activity
How Internet Filter works
Internet Filter uses DNS-based filtering to identify and block known malicious websites. When a user attempts to visit a website, the address is checked against a continuously updated list of known threat domains. If the website is identified as malicious, access is blocked before the page loads.
Protection takes place directly within the network and requires no software or app on the user's device. The service helps reduce the risk of users clicking on links in smishing messages, phishing emails or other fraud attempts.
Manage Internet Filter in MyBusiness
Internet Filter is enabled by default to provide your company's users with basic protection against online threats. The service is managed in MyBusiness and can be disabled or re-enabled if needed.
