EU roaming for business: How it works with Telia
Traveling within the EU has never been easier for business owners. Thanks to the new EU roaming regulations, you can use your mobile plan just like you do at home – no extra charges for calls or data. With Telia's business plans, you get reliable connectivity and valuable features that make it easy to stay in touch with customers and colleagues while on the road.
What is EU roaming?
EU roaming lets you make calls, send texts, and use data across the EU/EEA without extra charges – a major advantage for companies with staff who travel or work internationally. With Telia business plans, you pay the same rates for data and calls as you do at home. You also get access to 5G networks for fast, reliable connectivity in most European countries.
Data usage within the EU/EEA is included at no extra cost, but is capped at 100 GB across all our plans. For the 15 GB plan, you'll need to purchase additional data to reach the 100 GB limit.
When you hit 100 GB, you'll receive a text with instructions on how to continue using data. If you reply OK to the text, continued data usage is activated at a variable rate of SEK 10 excl. VAT per GB. If you don't reply, your data access will be paused for the rest of the month.
If you're on Telia Jobbmobil Obegränsad Plus, you also get an extra data SIM card – perfect for creating portable Wi-Fi on the go or using directly in a tablet or laptop.
What to keep in mind when using your phone abroad
To get the most from your plan and protect your company data:
Check that you have enough data before you travel.
Enable roaming on your device.
Use Wi-Fi when available, but avoid connecting to open or unknown networks as they can pose a security risk.
For the best security, connect your laptop via your phone's hotspot feature.
Don't charge your phone using public charging stations with cables, as these can expose your device to "juice jacking" attacks where data can be stolen. Use your own power adapter or a power bank instead.

If you're unsure which plan you currently have, you can log in and check it yourself on MyBusiness if you manage your own subscription.
