We support customers on their digital transformation journey

Telia often talks about comprehensive offerings – but what does that actually mean for the customer? Niclas Krantz, Business Area Manager at Telia Enterprise Solutions, explains how Telia works with business-critical communication services to make things easier for our customers.

"Many vendors claim to offer complete solutions, but you can only deliver on that promise when you truly understand the customer's needs as a whole," says Niclas Krantz.

He leads the Enterprise Solutions business area at Telia, with a mission to help large enterprises and the public sector tackle their digitalization challenges. It's rarely about individual products – it's about delivering solutions where different services work together.

"Our customers don't want to buy individual products. They want something that fits together, where it's clear what they're getting, easy to order, and simple to manage. That's why we focus on packaging our offerings in a way that makes it easy to be a customer."

Niclas uses telephony, phone systems, and contact centers as an example. Instead of offering each component separately, Telia assembles an integrated whole – which can be ordered and managed either through Telia's self-service portals or through integrations with the customer's own systems.

"It should be easy to buy, easy to use, and maintain a high technical standard. That's where we differ from many others," he says.

From silos to integrated whole

A key reason Telia succeeds in creating these complete offerings is that the company sees how different technology areas are converging – and adapts accordingly.

"Connectivity, security, and cloud are converging rapidly," says Niclas. "Our customers want fewer vendors and are looking for someone who can take full responsibility for all these areas."

Historically, Telia has been seen as a network provider, but today the picture is different.

"We've built strong expertise in local networks, cybersecurity, and cloud. Together with our colleagues at Telia Cygate, we create tailored offerings that meet each customer's specific needs. That's where our strength lies – combining the robustness of an operator with the flexibility of an integrator."

A unique combination – operator and integrator

What makes Telia's offering unique, according to Niclas, is precisely this combination of scale, stability, and adaptability.

"We combine Telia's capabilities and experience in connectivity, security, and scalability with the expertise in our specialist teams. This allows us to act as both an operator and a systems integrator – and thereby deliver complete solutions that actually work in practice."

For large organizations, this means a simpler day-to-day and a more secure journey through digitalization.

Swedish-owned, secure – and with full control

Another thing that truly sets Telia apart in the market, according to Niclas, is the ability to combine scale, security, and local presence.

"We're the only Swedish operator with full control and authority over the entire infrastructure we deliver to our customers," he says.

This means not just technical advantages – but also increased confidence for organizations with high security and privacy requirements.

"We play an important role in Sweden's total defense. Our ownership is Swedish, our deliveries take place within Sweden's borders, and we have a proximity to our customers that few others can match."

The Swedish perspective is becoming increasingly important, especially within the public sector and critical infrastructure operations.

"Many customers see the value in having a vendor that's both local and long-term. We take that responsibility very seriously," says Niclas.

Critical business communication in practice

When operations depend on stable, secure, and fast communication, more than just connectivity is needed. It requires solutions that truly deliver. Niclas at Telia explains how the company works to secure business-critical flows in both industry and healthcare.

"Critical business communication is about securing information flows that simply cannot fail," says Niclas. "It could be an industrial production where an outage costs significant sums every minute, or healthcare interventions where every second counts."

He explains that in these contexts, standard connectivity isn't enough. It requires solutions that are secure, robust, and built to meet very high demands for availability and security.

"This is where Telia comes in. We have one of Sweden's most comprehensive networks, leading expertise in 5G and IoT, and extensive experience building solutions for mission-critical needs."

As an example, he mentions a collaboration with Region Stockholm, where Telia helped demonstrate how 5G technology can be used in ambulance care.

"By transmitting vital data and video in real time to the hospital before the patient arrives, healthcare staff could prepare interventions faster. This strengthens patient safety and makes care flows more efficient."

"This is real – it drives me every day"

For Niclas Krantz, the job isn't just about technology, business, and solutions. There's a clear personal motivation in what he does.

"What drives me most is being part of digitalizing Sweden. That might sound big, but it's actually exactly what we're doing, together with our customers and our teams," he says.

He sees the value created at the intersection of technology and business. When the right infrastructure enables an operation to become more efficient, more secure, and more competitive – that's when he knows the work has meaning.

"We have customers who truly impact society every day, where what we deliver makes a difference. That's what makes my job meaningful. This is real – and that feeling drives me every day," Niclas concludes.
